Description These photographs provide front and side views of the reconstruction of President William McKinley's birthplace from across Main Street in November 2002. The house is being built by the McKinley Memorial Library on the original plot of land where the McKinley homestead stood when William was born in 1843. In addition to the residential part of the home, an annex is being added to the back that will house a research library, meeting room, and computer facilities. The colorful murals on the construction barriers were created by students from nearby Edison Junior High School in Niles.
